Station On Inc. (주식회사 스테이션온) ("we") operates Ranmeet ("the Service"). This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and who processes it on our behalf.

1. What we collect

Information collected as you use the Service

Social sign-in

Signing in with Kakao, NAVER or Google gives us your identifier and email address from that provider. We never receive your password.

If you agree to share them on the provider's consent screen, we also receive your nickname, profile photo, gender, and birth year and birthday, and use them only to pre-fill your profile. You can review and change them before you finish signing up. If the date of birth from the provider shows you are under 16, you cannot sign up and we do not store it. If a provider also sends your name or phone number, we neither store nor use them.

Identity verification (Toss)

Users under 19 verify their identity before using matching or notes, as Korea's youth-protection notice for random-chat services requires real-name membership. Verification happens in the Toss app, run by the licensed identity verification agency Viva Republica Inc. (Toss Cert). We do not receive your name or phone number; the agency sends us only the results below, and we send the agency none of your personal data.

2. Location data

• Location is used only to match you with nearby people and show distance.
• Other users see an approximate distance, never your exact coordinates.
• Turning off discoverability in Settings > Privacy removes you from other users' maps.
• Denying or revoking the OS location permission disables location features; the rest of the Service still works.

3. Automatic message screening

To block content the Terms prohibit, such as exchanging contact details, scams or sexual content, the messages you send are transmitted to the screening processor listed in section 6 and classified automatically. Depending on the result, a message may be hidden or the sanctions in the Terms may apply.

• Registration, identity verification and keeping you signed in
• Location-based anonymous matching and messaging
• Identity reveal based on closeness, and friend relationships
• Push notifications (new messages, matches, chat endings)
• Applying subscription benefits
• Real-name membership for users under 19, and preventing one person from verifying several accounts
• Handling reports and misuse, preventing repeat abuse, keeping the Service reliable
• Meeting legal obligations

5. Retention and deletion

What deleting your account does

Deleting your account immediately erases identifying information — email, nickname, age, gender and photos — and disables the account. The account record itself is not removed. The reason is that fully deleting it would also erase the conversation history of the people you talked to. To them you remain only as an anonymized participant.

We also keep a snapshot of your email, nickname, age, gender and linked social accounts taken just before deletion, solely to prevent abuse through repeated delete-and-rejoin cycles. Only Service operators can access it, and it is not used for any other purpose.

6. Processors and international transfers

We rely on the processors below, some of which are located outside your country. You may object to these transfers, but the related features will then be unavailable.

Transfers occur over the network at the moment the relevant feature runs.

7. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties, except where law enforcement requests it through a lawful process. Information visible to other users (nickname, age, gender, profile photo, approximate distance) is shown only when you choose to reveal it or the closeness condition is met.

8. Your rights

• Access and correction — directly in the app's profile screen.
• Deletion — Settings > Account > Delete account, at any time.
• Withdrawing consent — location and notification permissions can be revoked in your device settings; discoverability and push notifications can also be turned off in the app's Settings.

9. Children

The Service is not available to anyone under 14. If we learn that a user is under 14, we delete the account and its data without delay.

10. Security

• Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and cannot be recovered.
• All network traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
• Administrative functions require separate authorization and significant actions are logged.
• Access to personal data is limited to the minimum number of people who need it.

12. Changes

We announce changes in the app or on this page at least 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days ahead when the change is unfavourable to users.
