Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These terms govern use of Ranmeet ("the Service"), a location-based anonymous matching service operated by Station On Inc. (주식회사 스테이션온) ("we"), and set out the rights and obligations of both parties.

2. Definitions

• User — anyone who accepts these terms and uses the Service.
• Match — connecting you with a conversation partner based on location and the filters you set.
• Anonymous conversation — a conversation held under a generated name before identities are revealed.
• Closeness — a value derived from conversation activity; identities are revealed once it reaches a threshold.

3. Changes to these terms

1. These terms take effect when posted in the Service.
2. We may amend them within the limits of applicable law.
3. We give 7 days' notice before changes take effect, or 30 days when the change is unfavourable to users. Continuing to use the Service after notice, without objecting, constitutes acceptance.

4. Forming the agreement

1. The agreement is formed when you accept these terms and we accept your registration.
2. We may refuse registration, or terminate later, if you are under 16, used someone else's information or false details, were previously suspended or terminated for breaching these terms, or clearly intend to disrupt the Service.
3. Users under 19 can use matching and notes only after completing the identity (real-name) verification we provide. Where needed to keep the Service safe, we may also ask users aged 19 or older to verify.

5. What the Service provides

1. Location-based anonymous matching, messaging, profile reveal at your choice, and friend relationships.
2. The Service is intended to run continuously but may be interrupted for maintenance, faults or events beyond our control. Planned maintenance is announced in advance.
3. We may change what the Service offers; significant changes are announced in advance.

6. Location

1. Matching and nearby discovery require your location.
2. Other users see an approximate distance, never your exact coordinates.
3. You may revoke the location permission in your device settings; location features are then unavailable.
4. Processing details are governed by the Privacy Policy.

7. Your obligations

You must not:

• Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity
• Send sexually explicit material or content intended to cause sexual humiliation
• Use abusive, hateful, discriminatory, threatening or harassing language
• Solicit money, or promote investments, gambling or illegal goods
• Push others to move the conversation to outside messengers or social media, or ask for or share phone numbers, bank accounts or other contact details
• Attempt to contact minors
• Publish another user's messages or photos without their consent
• Access the Service by automated means or generate abnormal request volumes
• Reverse engineer the Service or circumvent its security measures
• Otherwise breach applicable law

8. Reports, blocking and restrictions

1. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for users who post it or abuse others. You agree to this when you sign up.
2. You can report a partner or a specific message, and block a partner, from the conversation screen. Blocking ends any ongoing conversation and you will not be matched again.
3. We review reports within 24 hours of receipt. Where a breach is confirmed we remove the content and act against the user.
4. Based on reports or automated screening, we may warn you, remove messages, end a conversation, suspend your account temporarily, or terminate it permanently. Messages found in breach by automated screening are hidden; the first breach results in a warning and the second in suspension.
5. Urgent or serious breaches may be acted on without prior notice; we explain the reason afterwards.
6. You may appeal any action through the contact below.

9. Your content

1. You retain the rights to the messages and photos you create.
2. We use that content only as needed to operate the Service — transmitting, storing, displaying and automatically screening it.
3. We do not use your content for advertising or promotion.

10. Paid features

1. We may offer subscriptions; benefits and prices are shown in the Service.
2. Payment follows the policies and procedures of the App Store and Google Play.
3. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancelling keeps your benefits until the period you already paid for ends.
4. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
5. Refunds follow each store's refund policy and applicable law.
6. We may change benefits; changes unfavourable to users are announced 30 days in advance.

11. Termination

1. You may terminate at any time via Settings > Account > Delete account.
2. Identifying information is erased on termination, as described in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
3. Messages already delivered remain in the recipient's history after you leave.

12. Limitation of liability

1. We are not a party to conversations or meetings between users and are not liable for disputes arising from them, absent our intent or gross negligence.
2. We do not warrant the accuracy of information users post or send.
3. We are not liable for interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters and network failures.
4. This section applies only to the extent permitted by law and does not exclude liability for our intent or gross negligence, or liability under consumer protection law.

13. Staying safe

If you meet someone in person after meeting them here, we recommend that you:

• Meet in a public place and tell someone you trust where and when
• Report immediately anyone who asks for money or pushes investments or transfers
• Never send identity documents, bank details or your home address in chat

14. Governing law

1. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. We will try to resolve disputes by agreement; failing that, they go to the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
